Synopsis

P.S. I Still Love You is a young adult novel by Jenny Han, published by Scholastic in 2015. It is a sequel to To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, published in 2014.

The two books share the same main character and narrator, Lara Jean Song Covey, a Korean-American teenage girl. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before concerns Lara Jean’s habit of writing secret love letters to boys she’s had crushes on, and P.S. I Still Love You deals with some of the consequences of these letters, which Lara Jean’s mischievous younger sister, Kitty, has discovered and distributed to the boys in question. The book opens with a letter that Lara Jean — now a junior in high school — has written to Peter Kavinsky, a popular boy in her class. The letter concerns a class ski trip that the two of them took together, during which they shared a kiss in a hot tub; it also concerns an argument that Peter apparently had with Josh, Lara Jean’s sister Margot’s ex-boyfriend. These are both events from To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before.

From Babafemi,

Is there really such a thing as “love at first sight?” This was my thought as I read the book’s foreword: “For Logan, I’ve only just met you and already I love you.” It’s not a new question and opinions are as diverse on it as the people answering. In the end, everyone answers based on their experience. The lover girl says it is possible. The hard guy says it is not. And the rest in between say, “It depends.” Me? I’ll just walk away.

From Bisola,

I have few points I noted to where I am in the book.

Point 1: Lara is considerate of other people’s feelings.

Today’s world lack consideration for the opinions and feelings and that could easily rub off on us. Lara had every reason to savor her happy moments but she didn’t immediately. It doesn’t make anyone less a human to consider how we express our joy, happiness, and accomplishments when others are dealing with baggage.

Point 2: Margot and Josh story immediately reminded me of this essay in our previous book. “HOW the PEOPLE WE ONCE LOVED become STRANGERS AGAIN” Love Dey somehow sha. I don’t know if they’ll ever be back together in this book sha. Well, it’s just as Margot said “Things feel like they’ll be forever, but they aren’t. Love can go away, or people can, without even meaning to. Nothing is guaranteed.” And please, Peter sounds toooooooo good to be true, this girl no go later chop breakfast served on a platter of gold like this.

If two people are meant to be, they’ll find their way to each other.
